The last time we saw James McCaffrey, who is popularly known for featuring as Alex Casey in Alan Wake 2 video game released in 2023; where he is best remembered for his revolutionary interpretation of “Max Payne” character in the Rockstar Games trilogy.

Before becoming a voice actor for video games, McCaffrey spent over thirty years performing on television and in film.

He first appeared on TV screens during the late 1980s and early 1990s when he starred in the Fox police drama series “New York Undercover.”

He also portrayed Captain Arthur O’Byrne during Season Three. Afterward, he led NBC’s one-season action series “Viper” in 1994 before returning to it again at Season Four a few years later.

“I can clearly remember the excitement I felt when I got to play as Max Payne in the trilogy and perform stunts of John Wick in a video game.”

What stood out most for McCaffrey was his role in the 2004 FX series, “Rescue Me.” His character is Tommy Gavin, who figures as a major character in Denis Leary’s novel.

In this series, he takes on the role of Tommy’s cousin and best friend, firefighter James Xavier “Jimmy” Keefe who lost his life on September eleventh.

He played a big part throughout the first three seasons and then just appeared in a few episodes of the last four seasons.
