WhatsApp has added instant video messaging to its existing communication features, following the success of voice-messages. Users can record and share short personal videos directly in the chat. These real-time videos, lasting 60 seconds or less, allow users to express their emotions via video content. Crafting a video is simple: just switch to video mode and hold to record.

The company has been exploring the possibilities of Generative AI in order to improve creativity, productivity and entertainment via messaging. Initial services of AI may include AI chats, AI stickers and photorealistic image creation.
